The latest final-final warning to me from Anonymous, the ethics-free hackers collective and cult which is harassing me and others who report critically on their antics and vigilantism around the Steubenville rape. I thought Anonymous saved these kinds of scary videos for the big "banksters" targeted by Occupy Wall Street or the evil Pentagon. I guess they are getting to be a dime a dozen these days if any script kiddie can use the MadLib software and make a threat that will get...40 views. Does that possibly dilute their power? Surely some of the superiors in the vertikal of Anonymous command are considering that...
The video is filled with the usual poorly-prepared chopped-up word salad. I'm a "bully" and "should not dare to call myself a human rights activist" because...I criticized Anonymous vigilante tactics. One of their young operatives who may or may not be a concocted persona decided to take up a jihad against me, vandalizing my Wikipedia page and drawing in more and more Anonymous JusticeSec operatives to dox, harass, bully and heckle me endlessly on Twitter with some of the most obscene and gross stuff I've seen in my life. This, from people who claim they oppose rape culture. It's fake.I've documented this here and here and elsewhere on my blog.
These crazy vindictive assholes have doxed me, i.e. exposed all my personal information, some of it public, some of it aggregated by triangulating public sources or exposing private information they've picked up from somewhere. My relatives are exposed as well.
Constant attempts are made to hack into the accounts of my email, my Twitter and my blogs and even Paypal.
When Anonymous unleashes something like #opCatzHunt -- which is what they've named the operation against me -- who knows what they will do, but I can only urge people not to click on emails from me if they look strange.
In fact, I suffered two email viruses and strange hack attempts *before* this encounter with @hausofpain and all this latest Anonymous nonsense, right at the time of the Twitter hack where I was among the early-adapter accounts hacked, and I suspect that this assault on me began in response to my first blog criticizing Anonymous in Steubenville in January, and these other incidents are contrived.
Even if it turns out that @hausofpain is really in fact a real person who is a teen or young 20-something fragile Anonymous starlet in training who is triggered into rage and suicidal thoughts by a....critical tweet of mine, then...it's Anonymous and its circle of inciters and ragers who are to blame for preying on this person, not me. They are free not to follow me on Twitter; they don't need to vandalize my Wikipedia stupidly which is only undone even by the freaks at Wikipedia for whom I have little regard. (My Wikipedia itself is an act of vandalism in the first place.)
I have little time to keep updating these developments and writing in my own defense, so if anyone else wants to take up that effort they should.
I have to say I've been decidedly underwhelmed by the response of my friends and colleagues, that have run to this:
"Sounds like you got into a fight with a 15-year-old! Tell her to finish her homework and stop tweeting at the dinner table!"
"Regardless of what one thinks of catfitz, this kind of threat is silly!"
"Hey, write to me if they really get serious and I think I know a journalist who could cover this."
and so on.
Look, I know journalists, too, and this isn't a 15-year-old at the dinner table -- something they don't even have any more in many American homes. And if you think that having caveats about defense of someone, then you're not getting it. I have little use for Stranahan, but I've defended him on principle. That's what people need to do: take up the principle that those who write critically about Anonymous in Steubenville or on any other "op" of theirs are using unacceptable vigilante movements. And it's not whether they "deserve" to be attacked or not, because they will come for you next.
Wow Anonymous is a bunch of sorry spoiled Kids.

For one, Anonymous is not full of spoiled children. If that's all you think we are, then you might want to think again. For two, this blogger is the one who is butt hurt. For 3, if she wouldnt refer to rape survivors as "fake rape victims" and demean a girl who already has a past of harming herself this wouldn't be happening. 1. Rape survivors aren't "fake"; Anonymous personas are. If the Anonymous operative harassing a blogger and doxing and heckling them also claims to be a rape survivor a) there is no reason to believe them just on their say-so -- they already are caught in lies b) there is no reason even if they are telling the truth that they can demand good-faith acceptance of their story, given their behaviour OR that they get to indulge in that behaviour.

If there is some tender flower who is a self-harmer -- a cutter (although all I saw in their stream is that they pull their harm out) or a suicide-obsessed (indicated only from their many links about *preventing* suicide, not actual articulation of such) --- or any other status *not visible because they are anonymous Anonymous and not validated with ID -- then that's the problem of Anonymous, not me.
If someone harasses me, I fight back. Their claim -- real or imagined -- that they are a rape victim or some other victim isn't something I am forced to believe or act on or indulge in to give them a pass in harassing me.
These are self-evident facts for grownups, but not when you have hysterical kids and very cunning adults in Anonymous willing to engage in agitprop of this despicable nature merely to try to silent legitimate criticism of them.

Is there really no better cause to direct your efforts on? As far as i know, child pornography is still rampant on the web among other stuff. Its real sad to see what could have possibly maybe before sopa..? have been a worthwhile group that could have done some good tyrn their sights on one of the few people on the web who arent afraid to post what many of us really think. Shame on you guys. (and for the record, ive known rape victims, you can spot a fake from a mile away..smells like cheese)

This isn't about blogging. Its about harassment. You're very 1- dumb if you believe its about blogging and 2- very delusional. This is about harassing a young person into suicide. This is about years of harassing people. This is about calling rape victims fake because they choose to remain anonymous.

Taking careful consideration that these alleged innocents are pedos etc with proof provided in dox. At no time is any innocent person hacked , discredited or doxed. If this was done, then is was not anonymous involved. Catfitz feels it is ok to troll, bully n harass innocent people because she does not agree with their opinion, anonymous is doing no different to her. She is bias on all her alleged legitimate blogs, but turns into a victim when she is challenged.

anonymous prosecution without opportunity to defend oneself is a better and more democratic process than trial by jury?
you, anonluverz, and other #anonymous folks are advocating and promoting totalitarianism. just because it isn't the state doing it, you don't see that you are using the most abhorrent methods possible to achieve your goals.
