I could be wrong, but it seems like this dilemma could be lessened by creating an extra check box in the permissions -- there could be Modify, Copy, Transfer, and Resell -- the last two seeming to be the major points of contention. If one checked the Transfer box but not the Resell box, then it'd be transferrable as a gift, or with the land, or what have you, and ONLY if the Resell box was checked would others be able to resell the item.

I imagine that is more complicated than we think programming-wise if they didn't do it.

Aimee Weber, of all people, who you'd think would be defending all these Sellers' Guild Nazis, simply says she puts on no-transfer to things she wants to sell, but not have others re-sell.

And if somebody says, Oh, I want to give my girlfriend a gift, she evidently makes them just that one thing on no-copy but transfer.

So normally, her product is copyable, to put in the different outfit folders I guess, I'm not an expert. But not transfer.

Yeah, that's how we do it too, actually. Haven't found any other way yet.
