RIP Dirk Talamasca

Here's his old Lush PalmTrea. Sadly, he died in real life. Imagine, he had
119,000 people in his G+ circles! And was very well known in SL. He worked
for a time for Anshe, ran a welcome sim for newbies, scripted various
inventions, including work with Angela Talamasca on the Sim Surround system
which I still have. He was also a regular at the Sutherland Dam discussion
club, and used to opine on the Lindens' land policies. Many will miss him.

Oh, Here's Bryn Oh Again

I remember when I saw the first Bryn Oh art installation with those robots in the water, I thought it was the coolest thing, and even pioneering as a form of art, ground-breaking...pixel-breaking....something...

Then I put Bryn Oh in the FIC list because indeed she *was* feted and she got grumpy because she thought that if anybody mentioned she was FIC, that meant she wasn't a good artist.

I do hope to check it out and see if I still feel it as pioneering as I once did.

I will say this -- what, no broken doll's head? No violin? No umbrella? No SL art piece is complete without those things...
