I publish chat of people like this because they threaten me with harm and threaten to disparage my good name.
They do that because they are clueless gits and in general just sorry excuses for human beings.
This one seemed incapable not only of understanding group fees -- it happens - but incapable of understanding that he doesn't have to pay me or anyone when his account is in the negative, he just has to fill up his account -- any new Lindens that come in will be offset by the negative.
This can be done by camping or escorting or whatever it is that little Edward needs to do.
OR he could just spend $10.65 US and buy himself some 2,500 Lindens using the "Limit Buy" option at secondlife.com on the LindEx. This should give him about.
Ten dollars may break young Edward, but surely the 8 cents he spent on my rentals won't
[2018/01/24 21:35] EdwardBalentio: (Saved Wed Jan 24 12:00:26 2018)I just read up about group liability I am sorry I did not know of this nor can I pay the outstanding cash sorry.
[2018/01/24 22:04] Prokofy Neva: Yes, you are notified five ways of group liabilities which a 4L per week in Ravenglass. If that amount goes over, you are reimbursed. Your account debits and we do not provide reimbursements to you if you haven't read one of the 5 notices. It's an open group and you can join and leave at any time. Group liabilities are part of rent and your friend is responsible for notifying you of this.
[2018/01/24 22:04] Edward (edwardbalentio): User not online - message will be stored and delivered later.
[16:37] EdwardBalentio: (Saved Fri Feb 23 19:35:38 2018)well thank you for the information. I am now -35 lindens in my account. My friend does not have your land anymore so i ought to leave group. thanks again.
[16:51] Prokofy Neva: I'm glad you figured out that if your friend no longer rents from me you shouldn't be in my rentals group. You're also capable of reading the group charter of a group you've joined, that informs you of group debits that apply, and which you are not required to join, which is an open group you can join and leave any time. Maybe you will learn to pay attention more now. Nothing "happens" to you if your account goes into the negative. It does not charge your payment form on file if you have one. When you get more Lindens it adds to your balance. Yes, what a terribly expensive lesson that cost you *less than a dime i.e. 8 cents in real life*. Good bye.
[16:56] EdwardBalentio: You are an incredibly rude individual of which I will pass this note onto as many people as i know.
[16:57] Prokofy Neva: Yes, please do, I'll do the same for you.
[16:57] Prokofy Neva: If you don't have a dime in real life one wonders how you logged on to the Internet but don't let that trouble you.
[16:57] Prokofy Neva: block
Some people get all shirty -- remember LilyanaRose -- about the group debits and think this is "illegal" or that they "need to report to Linden Lab". That underscores their own status as clueless gits because it is legal, allowed by the tools, and LL never takes ANY abuse reports that have to do with your complaints about some business practice in SL or some transaction you're unhappy with.
I should point out that probably a thousand plus people come through my rentals every month. I have groups of thousands, most are actively in rentals, some stay in the group even when they aren't renting so they can get the frequent free group gifts and newsletters of deals and such. If they don't want to do that there's even a free group without a group charge that enables them to do it. But most don't mind and stay in the group so they can visit some of the land preserve sites in the group and rez prims or visit friends and rez prims or whatever. It doesn't matter.
About once every two months, I get somebody like this who is clueless. This week, I happened to hear from two, but one had left long ago and ever complained, and only complained when she got a spam from an account who is impersonating me and claiming to be me falsely.
So honestly, when I have thousands of transactions over the months and never hear but once from somebody about this issue, I'm not going to change it. Not when I have five ways of notifying customers.
Why is someone like this little Edward even having this problem? Because he joined my open group even though he's not paying anything to enjoy the advantages of my group. I like to keep my groups open.
Most rentals agents keep them closed, dole out invitations, and instantly boot and remove prims the minute a box expires. I don't do that.
Edward had to pay $4L a week for that privilege, and if he failed to notice any of this and his friend left and he ceased to be able to rez prims on my land for free, maybe one week of that charge would do a beneficial thing which would be to GET HIM TO LEAVE as he is not needed nor does he need my group.
I go through and purge my groups regularly of people who have not logged in for 21 days or 28 days -- some of them I'll know are still with a paid rental and have family illness or issues -- I keep up in person with my customers so I leave them alone. Others I never heard of, know they aren't paying, and I remove them. Sometimes -- again, I'd say I get maybe one of these every three months, even less than group liabilities complainers -- will say "But I'm the alt of X" or "But I'm the partner of Y" to which I can say, ok, but you know? My group is open? As you recall? So you just join it again without the fury and spouting at me as doing something awful."
In more rare cases, they are people that have to be added back to resident powers -- long-time partners/room mates/alts not just friends. That's achieved in a second -- but I like to have the tenant of record ask me to do that because frankly, not all tenants of record WANT their partners to have ban powers. I don't know why this is -- if it were up to me, I'd hand them that. But I go by what they request.
The fury and rage that I get maybe two times a year from some people removed from the group because they haven't logged in, don't pay rent, and I didn't know they were alts or partners is of course ALL OUT OF PROPORTION to the gift they were given of my open group which they freely joined? And which they could, er...freely join again? Most of those ejected by mistake get that?
The ones that go WHY????? with hurt and fury are in a tiny, minority?
I even put in the lease "Please leave the group when you cease to rent as we will publicly eject you which we hate to do."
Even people who have stopped paying weeks ago sometimes fall in the category of those infuriated, hurt idiots that screech if you eject them. I have to say, um, because you don't pay me any more? How do these special snowflakes manage it when they are abruptly dumped and their prims returned from MOST RENTALS?
