Dear Lindens, I've Sketched Out a Few Ideas...

So, Feorie Friman never got an answer to her query to the Lindens on the forums, about their plans after tearing down the historic build of the Volunteer HQ on Tenera, which led to Abnor Mole interrupting his Labour Day Barbecue (they have Labour Day in Australia?!) to say grumpily that "If we knew, we couldn't tell you."

I started a thread about it which got the usual fanboy answers.

Since then -- nothing.

Autoreturn is off. Why not come and add to the sketches? Actually I may clear this away and put in a sculpture garden. No one seems to care. They may not get back to this in another 15 years.

So I decided to file a Support ticket. It's my only channel of communication with the Lindens since I'm banned from the JIRA, they don't answer IMs, and you can't post on the forums any more without everything being deleted.

Dear Lindens,

I would appreciate hearing from you sooner rather than later about why you tore down the ancient amazing Greco-Roman build known as the Volunteer HQ in Tenera, which was established in around 2006 by Lexie Linden who, along with her Volunteers Group, is no more (not to mention the nearby sandbox which has lain fallow after it was closed due to griefers back in that era). Everything has been removed except the rump of a palace and the Robot sculpture.

This giant build has been here all this time (16 years), labeled "Linden protected" and owned by either Governor Linden groups or the Residents' Helper Network which was a Linden-Resident group. It was used from approximately 2006-2009. It may have been "old school" but the info boards on it were NOT out of date and led to current information, except for a stand about the old translation program which apparently is defunct now.

Why?

 

Abnor Mole said on the forums "If we knew, we could not tell you." 

 

Well?

 

Fortunately the large Robot sculpture was NOT returned, because how could it be gotten back, given that the creator has not logged in nor is he in the People's List, although his old partner is. Of course, you can use your Linden powers to get that back -- AND the Starax sculpture ("Samson") which you also unceremoniously returned (actually I have a copy, it was a freebie). But that brings me to the next question.

 

What is your plan for this space?

 

You instantly auctioned off a corner of Tenera on the other side of the Aqueduct road next to our rentals (near land bought a year ago in adjacent Sylvia, to escape a disastrous auction of yours on Dicycla leading to ban lines everywhere, thinking we had found refuge near "Linden Protected"). Oh, that Aqueduct Road!

 

So we had to buy that Tenera piece flipped off the auction in a "defensive purchase" to prevent GTFO -- or worse -- springing up in that boxed-in corner.

Before you go chopping up and auctioning this large tract in Tenera (and nearby), may I suggest that you install the amazing Ancient Mole build from SL19B? It's actually not that many prims, and my God, you have 17000 plus there.

You never do anything grand for the Mainland anymore. How about it? Perfect for Ancient Mole's wondrous build of Metaversal stature and renown.

Or something? I sketched out a few ideas for you there -- Ritual Volcano, Virgin in the Desert, Desert City, Planets, Greek Temple (as before!) -- surely you could even just put up some resident sculptures. And the sandbox! Since when do you let griefers chase you off your land?! We never have.
