You've probably seen the Amnesty International ad about paying a certain amount a month to stop bad guys.
On the pages of New York Times, the New Republic, fergananews.com, all kinds of liberal publications , the ad looks like this -- for $5/ a month:
But when I browsed over to Commentary, the neoconservative magazine, suddenly, Amnesty upped the ante:
No doubt their ad server company has some kind of algorithm that determines the wealth of the readers by the IP addresses and their location or who the hell knows how (data-mining is a vast science).
Or maybe they even placed the ad separately?
I have to say that I don't donate to Amnesty for a number of reasons, one of which is the scandal involving the forced departure of their gender adviser, who complained about the organization's too-close proximity to extreme Islamists spouting jihad and suppression of women's rights.
