Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen or dealt with any texts with black boxes around "sensitive" or "suspect" speech. I'm not surprised it comes from Stanford's Liberationtech list moderator Yosem Companys, however (that's the name of a student there), as he is troubled by any speech that seems too critical of his close colleagues and friends.
