The default here on this blog is free expression -- comments are not held or moderated and you can post them immediately.
No, I do not censor your post, even if it is vicious and hateful.
No comment is ever removed unless it incites serious damages to me or others. I'd like to strive to approximate a level of First Amendment freedom. That is, if you call for serious, imminent violence against me or others, your comment is deleted.
I will also delete it and block you if you call for a libel suit to be filed against me or "dox" me by publishing private information like a personal phone or home address -- or do the same to other people.
You are not required to use your real name here or a dedicated pseudonym, as you are on my Second Life blog. You can spout any hateful, horrible, malicious thing you wish about me because I am not a "hypocrite" and do not support freedom of expression "except against me".
Yes, again -- you can post any vicious, obscene, misogynist, etc. sort of crap you feel you need to here. As I said, if your speech seems to incite violence that constitutes real imminent harm in the real world, it will be deleted. So vague death threats and wishes for me to die horrible deaths from painful cancer, etc. can stand.
So if you don't see your comment here, what happened?
Well, Typepad has a very active anti-spam filter, and it reacts to certain keywords, and it may just react to your hate-filled obscene invective. No matter, you will be fished out of the spam filter and posted anyway.
But here's the problem. Because there is a concerted bunch from Anonymous and other hacker hate groups like WikiLeaks who want to silence me forcibly, one of the methods they use is to rentlessly assault my blog with spam attacks. It's not uncommon for me in a single day to have 5,000 to 10,000 or even 30,000 pieces of spam -- I'm not kidding. Typepad merely automatically filters it.
That means that legitimate comments then are hard to find, even sometimes using "search" to look for a name or keyword that might be in your post. I'm just not going to waste time on it. I routinely come in daily and delete the huge spam files and try to fish out any real posts that got caught in it, but my time for this is limited and I will not fish through what often amounts to 1000 or 5000 or more entries.
Accordingly, my advice to you is to write your comment in Notepad or some other application first, then paste it here, type in the Captcha word, then refresh the page to make sure it sticks -- it can appear to have posted after the Captcha, but not really be there when you refresh the page. If it doesn't go after one or two tries, write to me.
Repeat: this is not because you are "censored" but because of anti-spam filters. So feel free to send your post to [email protected] where it will usually be posted in a day or two.
